• I COULD not agree more with the letter about the abolition of the western arm of Highbury Corner roundabout, thus forcing traffic to go round the other three sides (Give us respite before we face yet more roadworks, March 2).

I don’t know why the powers-that-be bother to have consultations about this, especially when they have already decided what is going to happen.

Perhaps they might like to bear public opinion in mind when the council elections are held in May.
