CHILDREN made final finishing touches to a large-scale art project after a generous donation from a toy company.

After a story in the Tribune, the chief executive of Danish toy company Plus Plus donated 84,000 bricks to pupils at St John’s Highbury Vale Church of England School.

The youngsters spent their Easter holidays building figures to represent every life lost to Covid-19 in Islington, Hackney and the City of London. The project has been set up in St Augustine’s church.
