• I READ with interest the article describing the meeting held at the town hall which was addressed by, among others, Gina Miller, Bonnie Greer and Professor AC Grayling (Miller tells rally: We must not give up our Brexit fight, March 17).

As someone who has paid council tax in full for nearly 40 years and who voted Leave, I hope that as a matter of fairness a “meaningful” fee was received for use of the council chamber. Five pounds a head might be reasonable.
