A 33-year-old man was allegedly assaulted with a gun

NO shots were fired when a man was assaulted with a firearm in Archway earlier this week, police have confirmed.
A call went out to officers when a man with a firearm was spotted near a store on Holloway Road at 11.42am on Monday. He allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old man with the gun, but police have yet to make an arrest.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 33-year-old man who was assaulted with the firearm before taking him to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. No shots were fired during the incident and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD3198/July14.”
