• AS a long-term patient at the Whittington I cannot speak highly enough of the care I receive from all I come across. So I was surprised to read about bullying there because it didn’t sound like the place I know, (Whittington Hospital bullies left staff ‘broken’ and ‘a wreck’, August 3).

So I read the full report, which Siobhan Harrington, the chief executive, commissioned to address a serious but minority problem. It’s a long report but much more balanced than your selected quotes. Ms Harrington deserves praise for addressing a problem, publishing a report and resolving to sort it out.

All large organisations have some individuals who don’t always behave well. This brave decision reassures me there is a commitment from Whittington to sort it out rather than pretend it didn’t exist. Bravo!
