All teachers should be rewarded with an inflation-proof pay rise

• IT is great that innovative motivational teaching is taking place in our primary schools, (‘Dedication’ and fun lessons bag head prize, July 1).
Teachers are able to be motivational despite the dreadful time pressures under which they work. In my experience as a teacher, teacher educator and school governor most of our teachers are hard-working, committed, and creative. Lessons and policies are planned collaboratively.
So it makes for very uncomfortable reading that one teacher has been singled out; and at a time when all teachers should be rewarded with an inflation-proof pay rise and decent working conditions.
