The scene in York Way after the ambulance struck a wall
AN ambulance on an emergency call crashed into a juice bar after a collision with a van as it drove through a junction with sirens sounding.
CCTV cameras at the Juice Hub, in York Way, Holloway, at the junction of Camden Road, captured the moment the St John Ambulance vehicle hit a wall. It is believed it was on its way to an emergency.
There were no patients on board and nobody was injured in the August 21 collision.
Footage shows the ambulance smash into a low wall on the edge of the café’s outside seating area before knocking over a lamppost.
Ross Lawson, who runs Juice Hub, said: “We heard sirens and a bang and then the ambulance coming towards the shop.”
The junction, a notorious accident blackspot, was redesigned this year.
