The Antony Gormley piece on display
AN Antony Gormley artwork is among many on display at an exhibi- tion this week to fundraise for a theatre company that helps vulnerable teenagers and care leavers.
The Angel of the North sculptor donated the piece, which is valued at about £16,000, to the Big House Theatre’s “Big Art House” exhibition which will run until next Saturday.
More than 30 artists are on display at the Englefield Road space in the Angel, including two pieces by young adults who have gone through the Big House’s programme.
Big House development manager Lydia Hayes said: “We have never put an exhibition on before so this is very exciting for us.
“We approached loads of artists who we either have connections with or live close by and asked them to provide pieces on the themes of home, identity and belonging.
“These are issues that are relevant to our members.”
