BRITISH Transport Police are appealing for information after a worker was repeatedly punched in the face at Farringdon Station.

The BTP have released CCTV images of a man (above) they believe may have a connection to the April 1 attack, and asked for members of the public who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Some time between 9.45am and 10.30am a contractor who was working on a broken gate was approached and punched in the face before falling over, and then being punched again as he stood up. He suffered a broken jaw as a result of the attack.

Anyone who recognises the man or witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 219 of 1 April. Information can also be given anony­mously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
