POLICE are appealing for anyone who can help identify a man who left another with “life-changing facial injuries” to come forward.
The 33-year-old sustained the injuries in a Tollington Park pub on April 26 last year while he was watching a football match. The attacker allegedly produced a knife and slashed the victim’s face after a row, causing a deep cut from his left cheek to his lip. He was taken to hospital by paramedics and continues to receive treatment for his injury, which was not life-threatening.
Detective constable Danitza Iniesta said: “The pub was busy with people who were watching the Arsenal vs Manchester City game that night. We believe the victim and suspect spoke a few times throughout the evening without issue, before this horrific act of violence unfolded.”
