Detectives say they are "confident" people know where the suspect is

DETECTIVES are appealing for the public’s help to find a man they want to speak to in connection with a double murder in Archway.

On June 29, Leonardo Reid, 15, and Klevi Shekaj, 23, were fatally stabbed in Elthorne Road.

The police are looking for Lorik Lupqi, 19, in connection with the murders.

Mr Lupqi is from Archway and connected to parts of east and south-west London.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood, who is leading the investigation, said: “This marks a significant development in our investigation as we appeal for the public’s help to locate Lorik Lupqi.

“Several weeks have passed since this awful incident and I am confident there are people who know where Lupqi is. I would encourage them to do the right thing by the victims’ grieving families and contact us immediately.”

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 999 immediately quoting CAD 9383/29Jun. He should not be approached.

Abel Chunda, 27,, has been charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon.

Jason Furtardo, 26,  and Eden Clark, 29, have also been charged with he same offences.

All three men are remanded in custody ahead of standing trial in May 2024.
