• AN Islington Council leaflet of interest to me and my group (residents of Islington and the City) includes the words, “Do you need this information in another language or reading format such as Braille, large print, audio or Easy Read?

“Please contact us at…”.

I have made repeated requests for large-print versions, without success. The events the leaflet related to have now passed.

Local councils are supposed to comply with the Public Sector Equality Duty (Equality Act 2020). Is my experience an isolated lapse, or are other readers being let down in this way?
