The scene in Finsbury Park

Police were called to Seven Sisters Road at 6pm today (Wednesday) to a report of an assault.

Officers and the ambulance service attended the scene and found a man in his 20s suffering from “slash injuries”. He has been taken to hospital.

Police cordon in place at the junction of Stroud Green Road and Seven Sisters Road

One man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody.

The road is shut at the junction of Stroud Green Road and Seven Sisters Road. Police say a crime scene remains in place while enquiries continue.
