BUKAYO Saka bagged a brace as Arsenal netted a thumping 5-0 Boxing Day win at Norwich.

Kieran Tierney, Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe were also all on target as Mikel Arteta celebrated his two-year anniversary as Gunners’ boss in style.

And the Arsenal players can now rest and fully focus on Saturday’s Premier League match against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium after Tuesday’s home game against Wolves was postponed due to a number of coronavirus cases and injuries in Bruno Lage’s squad.

“The unity that we show in general, and the support that we are getting in every ground from our supporters is very much linked with the way we can transmit the way we want to play,” said Arteta after the Norwich rout. “I am really pleased.

“They [the players] are in this moment right now that they really like each other. They enjoy playing with each other, and you can see that on the pitch.”

Saka opened the scoring after six minutes at Carrow Road, guiding a low shot past Angus Gunn to round off a slick Arsenal attack.

Having set-up Saka for the opener, Martin Odegaard then sent Kieran Tierney through to score the Gunners second just before half-time.

Saka doubled his tally on 67 minutes, before Lacazette scored from the penalty spot after being fouled by Ozan Kabak. Substitute Smith Rowe added the gloss in stoppage time, ensuring that the Gunners will start 2022 in the top-four.
