Gabrielle Kent takes questions from Rotherfield pupils
PUPILS at a primary school in Canonbury were treated to an “inspiring” visit from children’s author Gabrielle Kent this week, as she donated 40 books to their library.
The writer, who has penned Knights and Bikes and the “Rani Reports” series, led an assembly at Rotherfield Primary School for students in Years 3, 4 and 5 before heading up a smaller workshop about being an author for 20 of the children.

Assistant headteacher Rosa Aers said: “Gabrielle spoke about her inspirations and how she plans and structures her stories. She also spoke of the long and arduous editing process before a book gets on the shelves. It was so generous of her to give her time to the pupils of Rotherfield.”
