Bullying developing countries means poorer people will come to Europe

• CAN Paul Lasok prove his statement that post-Brexit the UK will “re-erect trade barriers against the Third World that currently don’t exist”, (Brexit is completely pointless – apart from boosting the careers of a small group of politicians, March 16)? In truth they do exist and being added to but we will not re-erect them.
To quote MEP Ska Keller: “Developing countries have a gun pointed at their chest – either they sign or their market access to the EU is restricted.”
This in reference to tariffs imposed by the EU post the Cotonou Agreement under the European Partnership Agreement. Good to see irony is still alive. Also, post-Contonou the EU has raised the tariff on oranges by 12.8 per cent.
What is pointless about voting to get away from this sordid neo-colonial construct? Do the Remainers not understand the obvious result of bullying Third World countries through unfair trade agreements?
People get poorer and follow the money. They migrate often to Europe. There is a moral imperative of the vote to leave the EU. We should all get behind it.
