Cars are safest in lockdown

‘Electric cars and vaccinations are now on their way, so goodwill and friendly streets may be preserved’
• ILL-CONCEIVED and imposed traffic filters create a hostile and polluting situation in every sense.
Observing social distancing the car is the safest way to attend medical appointments, taking animals to the vet, to get a weekly shop done, supplying old and shielding friends and neighbours with essentials.
The irrational knee-jerk answer to the lockdown is condemning a considerable number of residents to be isolated, and out of reach of deliveries.
A friend 100 yards around the corner from my street requires now a drive of 3.2 miles, two traffic lights and traffic jams each way.
Electric cars and vaccinations are now on their way, so goodwill and friendly streets may be preserved.
