• I HAVE campaigned with Dignity in Dying for a change in the law on assisted dying since my late partner and I travelled to Dignitas in Zurich in 2007 to end his life in the manner of his choosing.

I was later arrested for “aiding and abetting the suicide of another”, kept on bail for 13 months but not charged.

A new Islington and Hackney Dignity in Dying group is now campaigning.
