Charity toy shop delivering toys to needy children in Islington
Monday, 6th April 2020

A CHARITY toy shop that supplies toys to children in need has moved operations online, and can deliver to Islington residents during the coronavirus crisis.
The Toy Project takes old toys, recycles them and give them to needy children using a referral system.
But with their usual shop in Junction Road, Archway, closed by the lockdown, the charity today confirmed it is still taking referrals by email.
“We take referrals from doctors, teachers, community workers and social workers,” explained the charity’s founder Jane Garfield.
“Obviously, as a charity that gives toys to children in need, there’s a real need for this now more than ever.”
Referral forms are available by emailing j.garfield@thetoyproject.co.uk, and toys can be collected by key workers from 81 Junction Road by appointment. Deliveries can also be made to Islington residents.
Donations of toys are not currently being accepted.
