CYCLISTS met for coffee and croissants in the park this weekend in a drive to get more people on
two wheels.
Cycle Islington, a campaign group working to get more people riding bikes, ran a special “bikers’ breakfast” in Highbury Fields on Sunday.

Co-ordinator John Hartley said the group welcomed 26 new members during the breakfast.
“It’s very useful to have people with local knowledge joining our campaign,” he said.
“The major thrust of our long-term campaign is the Liveable Neighbourhood scheme, but we also do a lot of campaigning for infrastructure already there.
The club is holding its AGM on Wednesday (May 10), along with a talk from environmentalist and cycle campaigner Anna Hughes.
