The highlight of the Pro Invitational and Community Festival was watching scores of grassroot football youth teams from across Camden and Islington taking on professional clubs, including Premier League sides Liverpool and Brighton.

But that “was just one of the reasons” why crowds turned up in the hundreds at the artificial pitches in Market Road, Islington.

Zahid Hossain, academy director of Pro Touch SA, who organised the event, said: “Football was not the only thing taking place on the day, there was a wide range of fun activities, like face-painting, martial arts and multi sports, and even the chance to meet firefighters from the London Fire Brigade and look around a fire engine.
“The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves.”
