JEREMY Corbyn had planning permission for an extension on his home rejected by Islington Council.

The request, submitted last summer by the Islington North MP’s wife Laura Alvarez, sought to extend the ground floor of his Finsbury Park home.

However, the Town Hall denied approval on the grounds it would “harm the appearance, rhythm and integrity” of the terrace and the area.

He has instead revamped an existing space which it is understood did not require planning permission, including installing mirrored windows.
