Robin Mabey 2

LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn has paid tribute to Robin Mabey, a former civil servant, councillor and stalwart of the Islington North Labour Party, who died on Saturday.

Mr Corbyn said: “Robin Mabey was a wonderful man and a wonderful friend who I knew for many years. He was committed to the community, the environment and a stalwart of the Islington North Labour Party.

“An election will not be quite the same without turning up at Drayton Park School finding Robin taking numbers on behalf of our party.”

Mr Mabey, who lived in Highbury, is survived by his wife Christine.
