• IN your report of the case involving Councillor Jean-Roger Kaseki, about which I make no comment, a false impression was given about Regine, his wife (Councillor cleared of wife assault, February 3). Those who do not know her would assume that she is a devious and even dishonest person. This is not true.

I have known her well, ever since she arrived with her daughter from the Democratic Republic of the Congo years ago.

I have always found her to be a warm-hearted, honest person, a good mother and one who looked after her wheelchair-user husband with loving care for years.
