Arsenal Under-16s at the club’s refurbished Hale End Academy
ARSENAL marked the opening of their refurbished Hale End Academy in style this weekend when their Under-16s side overcame Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus to lift the Liam Brady Cup.
The Gunners’ new multi-million pound facility features four full-size pitches – including an exhibition pitch with the same surface and dimensions as the Emirates Stadium.
The main building houses a gym, a new analysts’ suite and recreational space for young players. There is also a restaurant, changing rooms, classrooms and a medical space.
To mark the reopening, Arsenal’s young guns hosted, and beat, their academy rivals to get their hands on a new trophy to go with their new home. They ran out 1-0 winners over Juventus in the final.
