Friday, 28th May 2021

CYCLISTS descended on the Town Hall in support of Jeremy Corbyn as they called on the Labour Party to restore the whip to him.
Around 40 riders gathered on Wednesday in solidarity with the Islington North MP on his 72nd birthday.
Jeremy Corbyn turned 72 this week
Without the whip, Mr Corbyn is not considered a member of the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) and he will not be able to stand for the party at the next election.
His successor as leader, Sir Keir Starmer, removed the whip after the reaction to an anti-semitism probe.
