POLICE think they have halted a Mr Big running drug lines in Islington.

Gafar Bakare, 36, from King’s Cross, was sentenced on Monday to eight years and seven months in prison.

Police said he had preyed on vulnerable users to shift his drugs and believe his operation made around £320,000 in 2022 before detectives intervened.

And they said he was arrested at his home where drugs with an estimated street value of £14,000 were seized, and evidence from phone messages revealed details of his deals for heroin and crack cocaine.
