DETECTIVES investigating a series of sexual assaults have appealed for any further potential victims to contact them.

The Met said it was investigating incidents in Islington and Camden and the City that took place early on Sunday.

They were called after two women reported being sexually assaulted in the City of London by a man who had been riding a bicycle, wearing a dark grey coat and a beanie hat.

Officers have been checking CCTV cameras from several locations.

Detective Inspector Anna Deighton, one of the senior detectives investigating crime in Islington, said: “We are making urgent enquiries to identify any potentially related offences.

“I urge any victims of sexual offences or robbery to please contact police. I can assure them they will be provided with any support they need, and the information given to police will help us to build a more complete picture of offending as we continue to focus on tackling violence against women and girls in London.”

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with six counts of sexual assault, two counts of common assault and one count each of robbery and attempted theft.

Any other potential victims of this series of offences are urged to make themselves known to police, citing CAD 2730/20jan.

In another incident on Sunday evening – not thought to be connected to the investigation – a woman was assaulted in Archway.

She was approached by a man who punched her before sexually assaulting her in St John’s Way shortly after 7pm.

No arrests have been made so far.

If you have any information relating to this incident please get in touch with police citing CAD 5244/19JAN25.
