Disabled man is rescued from canal
Witnesses describe incident at waters near Camley Street

A MAN is in a life-threatening condition after he was rescued from the canal in King’s Cross yesterday (Thursday) morning.
An eyewitness reported seeing a man and a wheelchair being hauled from the waters near Camley Street, at around 6.45am.
A police spokesman said: “Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a man was rescued from the Grand Union Canal.
“He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a central London hospital.
“His condition is being treated as life-threatening.”
A passer-by said: “While some of the officers were doing compressions on his chest the others were pulling a wheelchair from the canal.”
Police said they were not treating the incident as suspicious.
