Does Labour listen to the Leavers?

• THERE was never a progressive and left-wing case made for Leave in the referendum.

All Leave supporters seem to want is for us to become even more dominated by the United States than we are already. We should be an independent country, making our own decisions but working with other countries on mutually beneficial issues.

The trouble with most Labour MPs and party members is that they seem to spend too much of their time speaking to like-minded people, where they reinforce each other’s views.

How many of those people who voted Leave have Labour Party members spoken to? Have they listened to their views on why they voted the way they did?

Labour seems to have decided that, if only it invests in deprived areas of the country, people will change their mind. In other words, it is saying that those people are incapable of making their own decisions.

Internationalism is also quoted as a reason to stay in the EU. The only internationalism is for big business.

One of the most popular Labour policies among many people in the country is that of taking the railways into public ownership.

But this would go against European Union rules because it would be seen as giving Britain an unfair advantage over the other 27 countries. How do the Remainers intend to get over that obstacle?
