A second man who was arrested has been released on bail

DETECTIVES investigating the fatal stabbings in Archway have charged a man.

Abel Chunda, 27, of Highgate Hill, has been charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is set to appear in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today.

A boy, 17, was also arrested on July 3 in connection with the murders. He has been released on bail.

The tragic killings took place on June 29 in Elthorne Road, exactly 15 years to the day since the death of Ben Kinsella.

Leonardo Reid, 15, died of a fatal stab wound to the chest. An unnamed 23 year old man who was also stabbed was taken to a West London hospital where he passed away.

A third victim, 28, also suffered a stab wound, but was taken to a North London hospital where he remains. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 46-year-old man was arrested on the afternoon of Saturday (July 1) on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. He was taken to a north London police station and was subsequently released with no further action.
