TERRIFIED customers fled an Upper Street pub when a robber armed with a knife ran into the bar.
Two men on a moped pulled up outside the Vineyard pub, opposite the Town Hall, on Monday night. One entered the outdoor terrace at the front and threatened a man with the weapon.
Customer Lucy Watt, who fled through a fire escape, said: “Drinkers in the pub feared a terrorist knife attack and ran to hide in the toilets.”
The robbery victim, a man in his 30s, had his Rolex watch stolen. He was not injured, police said.
The robbers got back on the moped before speeding off. No arrests have been made.
