THE Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to a Holloway children’s centre on Tuesday – to the delight of parents as well as children.

Family Action, at Hornsey Road Children’s Centre, offers support for new parents by pairing them with a volunteer who helps guide them through the early stages of parenthood.

The Queen is also a patron of the charity, which runs 140 projects throughout the country.

The Duchess, who was initially scheduled to visit the centre in September before her shock pregnancy announcement, received a bouquet of flowers from six-year-old Nevaeh.

Family Action chief executive David Holmes said: “We are very grateful that we had the opportunity to talk to the Duchess about the range of issues families with young children may face and to show her the support that is available.

“We thank the Duchess for her keen interest in our work.”
