SOPHIE, Duchess of Edinburgh has officially opened the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) new offices in Pentonville Road.

The duchess was given a guided tour of The Grimaldi Building, which has been renovated to the highest accessibility and neurodiversity standards following careful consultation with blind and partially sighted people, last week.

Staff, volunteers and supporters met her as she went round and there was time for a discussion on sight loss.
