EastEnders star to switch on Archway’s Christmas lights
John Partridge will also judge 'Archway Bake-Off' competition on day of festive fun in Navigator Square

EASTENDERS actor and Celebrity MasterChef winner John Partridge will be the star switching on Archway’s Christmas lights on Sunday.
The festive-filled day will also feature a Santa’s Grotto, a Christmas market and live music between 12.30pm and 5.30pm in Navigator Square.
Television presenter Mr Partridge will turn on the lights with Mayor of Islington David Poyser at 5pm, as well as helping to judge the Archway Bake-Off competition during the day.
Cllr Poyser, of Hillrise ward, said: “I’m honoured to be switching the lights on with John Partridge in Archway. I’m really hoping he’s going to teach us all how to bake, too.
“Christmas is when we have our greatest sense of community.
“I really hope we get an even bigger turnout than last year.”
Finsbury Park’s Christmas lights switch-on is tomorrow (Saturday) at 5pm, with a street market in Fonthill Road and performances throughout the day from The Finsbury Park Singers and Kekeli African Dance Ensemble.
