TWO have people been killed and one injured after a tragic night of violence in Archway.
A 15 year old boy was killed last night (Thursday) in Elthorne Road. A 23 year old man was also stabbed during the same incident. He was taken to a West London hospital where he tragically passed away. A third victim, thought to be 28 years old, was taken to a North London hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Residents believe that the boys were filming a music video in the estate “when something went wrong.”
“They had the music video going on here last night. The next minute, the police were here, and they all scattered,” said one resident.
Okan Hoplar, another Elthorne Estate resident, said, “It happened just outside my house. I live in Turpin Way. I was on my computer at the time, I heard some stuff going on so I looked outside.
“There was someone on the ground and people were gathered around them. They called the police, and they tried, with CPR, to bring him back to life for maybe half an hour or an hour.
“For an hour or two beforehand there was a group of cars parked outside, with maybe 10-20 people outside.
“They were just chilling, they played music for a bit. Some of them were kids, some of them were adults, it was just a bunch of people. I noticed them, looked out my window, and then two hours later something had happened, like someone stabbed someone.”
A large area of the Elthorne Estate has been cordoned off by the police, stretching from Elthorne Road, to Grovedale Road, to Ashbrook Road. Forensics tents were set up in Grovedale Road, and the Tribune saw investigators searching inside Kinver House in Ashbrook Road.
