A MAN has been charged with having an imitation firearm in a street just minutes from the Emirates Stadium.

Police were called to Queensland Road, Holloway, on Friday evening to reports of a man with a firearm.

The road was closed off, leaving more than 100 residents stranded and unable to return to their homes.

Asani Jackson, 20, of Queensland Road, was charged on Monday with possession of an imitation firearm, affray and assault by beating.

He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court and was detained in custody to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court on June 8.
