Firefighters help woman to safety after flat blaze
Investigation into the cause of Holloway fire
Friday, 2nd December 2022

A WOMAN was rescued as the London Fire Brigade tackled a blaze in Holloway on Tuesday evening.
Firefighters had been called to a flat on the second floor of a building in Pemberton Gardens.
They used breathing apparatus to help a woman in a neighbouring home to safety.
She was later taken to hospital, while another man was taken to hospital by paramedics.
As people called 999, control officers gave advice down the line as to what residents should do.
This was guidance on how to stay safe before the engines arrived.
Part of a four-roomed flat on the second floor of the building was damaged by fire.
The brigade said it was “called at 20:00 and the fire was under control by 20:55”, adding: “Fire crews from Kentish Town, Holloway and Islington fire stations attended the scene.”
Its statement added that “the cause of the fire is under investigation by the brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service”.
