A WOMAN and child were rescued from a fire in De Beauvoir on Friday evening.

More than 40 firefighters tackled the blaze in flats in Hullbridge Mews.

The London Fire Brigade said that the ground-floor flat, second-floor flat, and the roof were damaged.

A man who had left the building before crews arrived was taken to hospital for treatment.

The fire’s cause is under investigation by both the brigade and the Met police.
