Key bus stop by the junction of Liverpool Road and Holloway Road has been removed

• TWO weeks ago Transport for London removed a key bus stop by the junction of Liverpool Road and Holloway Road.

They claim it is part of road works of which, so far, there is no sign and they make no guarantee that it will ever return.

This is very stressful for the many people, particularly the old and disabled, who live near the junction, on both sides of the Holloway Road, who now have to walk an extra half-mile home.

The only up side to the story is that many bus drivers are stopping to let passengers off, and sometimes on, at the point where the stop was, in spite of being told by TfL not to do this.

Let’s cheer the victory of humanity over bureaucracy. And is it too much to ask TfL to install a temporary bus stop here until they actually need the space for road works?
