THE Angel, Islington “Glow in the Angel” event returned to mark the start of the festive season while supporting Giving’s Winter Crisis Appeal.

Organised by angel.london, the Business Improvement District for the Angel, Glow in the Angel saw the Christmas lights switched-on amid an evening of singers, musicians, illuminated stilt-walkers, food & drink and surprises.

Families gathered in locations around the town including Camden Passage, Islington Square, Upper Street and Islington Green to take part in the festivities. The event was free to attend and raised money for Islington Giving’s Winter appeal.

Ben Stephenson, chief executive officer at angel.london, said: “We were pleased to be able to celebrate the start of the festive trading season and delighted by the turnout.”
