Pro Touch SA welcomed west London’s Canada Blanch
YOUNG footballers have been enjoying a series of “World Cup-inspired” friendlies at the artificial pitches in Market Road.
Every Sunday teams from all over London are being hosted by Pro Touch SA for a “special get-together” to “celebrate all things football”.
Club co-founder Ash Rahman, who helped set up Pro Touch 20 years ago, said: “We’re inviting a different team down to our home pitch every Sunday for a friendly with a more relaxed vibe.
“We’re encouraging players to turn up wearing the kits and colours of the countries they have been supporting at the World Cup, before changing into their club colours for a match.
“Obviously football is a great tool to bring people together, and we want to give young people the chance to experience either hosting a matchday, or travelling to a matchday, while meeting new friends to talk about all things football. And who knows, maybe try out some new skills that they’ve seen during the World Cup.”
On Sunday, Pro Touch, pictured in the red kits, welcomed west London’s Canada Blanch, wearing black, to play a series of matches in both Under-9s and Under-11s age groups.
