FEARLESS Vampire Killers’ flair for the dramatic, artwork and theatrical performances won them a cult following until they split up in 2016. Since then, they have reappeared for the odd show and play Tufnell Park Dome on Sept 2. Catch them while you can – their website’s gigs page only promises “we’re working on it” so no clue as to when they’ll re-emerge.
• The Roundhouse, Green Note, Fiddler’s Elbow and Spiritual Bar will curate the live music for free two-day street festival Camden Inspire (Sept 2-3). Taking over Buck Street and Stucley Place, the festival features interactive art, workshops, theatre, live music, DJs, and traders selling food, drink, homemade homeware, stationary, jewellery and ceramics. One last street party before the summer ends?
• Who better to accompany The Dublin Castle’s latest book club discussion on author Richard Houghton’s Thin Lizzy – A People’s History, than tribute band Dizzy Lizzy? But first, Houghton will discuss the book, which tells the story of Thin Lizzy in the words of over 300 fans, with Tony Gleed followed by a Q&A, live music from Jacoby and DJs We Got Killers. • Congratulations to flowerovlove and FACESOUL, the first two artists selected for Koko’s new breakthrough artist programme Luno Eclipse, supporting up-and-coming artists. We saw FACESOUL at the venue’s launch party and he definitely deserves attention and look forward to seeing Floweroflove soon. The programme helps new artists develop and promote content, produced and directed by Koko Studios, including live shows, DJ sets, piano sessions, on Koko Radio and the venue’s app and website. The next two artists will be announced in the autumn.
