THERE is more than one massive London derby this weekend as Arsenal return to FA Women’s Super League action with a mouth-watering showdown against Chelsea.
The Emirates Stadium is once again expected to attract a raucous crowd for Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash with more than 40,000 tickets already sold.
The fixture is likely to fall short of the current WSL attendance record, however, which Arsenal smashed in September when some 47,367 fans saw them thump north London rivals Tottenham 4-0 thanks to two goals from Vivianne Miedema and strikes from Beth Mead and Rafaelle Souza.
Victory in the noon kick-off could see the Gunners leapfrog leaders Chelsea at the summit – although bagging the points won’t be easy with the Blues boasting formidable form having won their previous nine league matches.
