ARSENAL legend Tony Adams has walked through the streets of Islington to raise money for a brain injury charity.

The former England captain joined Dr Lewis Owens on the last leg of a walk from Cambridge to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, in Queen Square.

Mr Adams said: “Walking 64 miles in two days is no mean feat. It was a pleasure to join him from the Emirates Stadium to the National Hospital.”

The walk was completed at the weekend as part of a National Brain Appeal fundraising campaign.

Dr Owens said: “What I have done in 48 hours is nothing compared to the incredible care given to patients in the National Hospital day in, day out.”
