ARSENAL will be expected to rewrite the record books yet again this Sunday by beating West Ham United at Meadow Park to mark their 13th consecutive victory in the Women’s Super League.

Goals from Lia Walti and Frida Maanum saw the Gunners ease to a 2-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday at Prenton Park. Stretching back to last season, it was their 12th league victory in a row – matching the wins record they set back in 2018, which Manchester City then equalled in 2021.

The table-toppers’ latest win was also a record-extending 10th consecutive clean sheet in the WSL.

But Jonas Eidevall made it clear he is not interested in records as he set his sights on silverware.

The Arsenal head coach said: “That doesn’t fill the trophy cabinet. Of course, by doing these records it increases the likelihood of something that we can achieve together. But no, it doesn’t bother me much.”
