GUNNERSAURUS – Arsenal’s big green mascot – was on hand to officially open a new artificial pitch at a primary school this week.

The top Gooner was with the Mayor of Islington Jason Jackson – and a whole load of excited pupils too – for the ribbon-cutting at Whitehall Park School. The Town Hall pumped in some of the funding for the new surface with the aim of keeping children active, while local sports retailer ProKit have provided equipment as sponsors.

Sports coach Jack Briley said: “What a wonderful achievement for the school to have this facility. It will enable consistent, year-round access to high-quality sporting provision.”
