A NURSE forced to cancel her wedding spent what would have been the big day treating coronavirus patients.

Olivia Hall, 29, had been due to ­marry her partner Alex Violaris, 30, on Saturday but found herself in the thick of a shift at University College London Hospital, near Euston.

The couple, who are living apart to avoid any risk of spreading the disease, have postponed their wedding and ­honeymoon until October.

Thousands of couples across the country have had to rearrange spring wedding plans after the lockdown was confirmed at the end of March and gatherings were banned.
