THE annual “Cally Festival” is coming back to the borough this weekend, as residents and community groups get set to party.

The festival returns to Caledonian Road this Sunday July 5, celebrating the “diversity and talent” of Islington’s residents.

There will be music, poetry, dance sessions as well as arts and crafts. It is a free, community-led festival and is organised by local people, schools, artists and the council. Attendees need not buy a ticket in advance, just show up.

There will be performances and sessions by “Winston the Geezer”, “Some Vices Choir” and DJ Kerol Garcia.

The festival will run from 12-6pm.
