HIP HOP performers in Angel are set to celebrate diversity in their first shows on stage since the lockdown.

Breakin’ Convention is hitting Sadler’s Wells this weekend with a line-up of acts including rap artists W.A.R (We Ain’t Regular) – who appeared alongside Stormzy in Glastonbury 2019.

Hip hop theatre director Jonzi D said: “Division and polarisation have been normalised – I believe that what we are doing in Breakin’ Convention is trying to shake that up a little bit.

“It’s a programme that, for me, in spite of having a year when a lot of artists have lost their way because they haven’t been able to be together, is about coming together and celebrating our differences.”

Breakout Convention is coming to Sadler’s Wells this Saturday and Sunday.
